Professor Melonhead : About
ProfessorMelonhead.net started in 2003 as a favor to a homeschooling friend. It was since evolved into an ever-expanding online arcade of multi-modal activities designed to make learning English as a Second Language fun and effective.
Digital-based learning tools offer teachers a viable (and perhaps, preferable) alternative to printed worksheets and flashcards. Like shuffling a deck of flashcards, each iteration of each spelling activity provides target vocabulary words in a randomized order.
Online content also fosters learner independence, as students can study independently at any time. Colorful, high-quality graphics make independent learning more enjoyable. Immediate feedback and the recycling of incorrect answers provides the repetition that is critical to vocabulary retention.
